In an effort to make books not only accessible but also more visible in eastern DRC, we have partnered with two coffeeshops in Goma to provide a range of books for those who visit their coffeeshops. Visitors are able to read while they sip on their lattes, and they are able to bring a book home with them to continue reading if they leave one of their own on the shelf in exchange. These coffeeshops are Le Petit Chalet which is located in the Himbi neighborhood of Goma, and Nyumbani Cafe which is located on the premises of the new Institut Français in town in Goma. Both coffeeshops also serve as a drop-off point for donations to Books for eastern Congo.

It's rainy season now in Goma, so come stop by one of the coffee shops to get a hot coffee and curl up with a good book!
